The 2010 Bristol Progress Days Parade will be Sunday July 11th. Line up will be at Tom and Lori Andrekus house @ 11:00 a m. There address is 20814 82nd st Bristol

Because we don’t move to our place in line until noon, Lori is proposing that we have a small brunch at their house between 11:00 and noon. Anyone interested is welcome to bring a brunch food dish to pass. Then, after the parade, everyone can be on their way to enjoy the rest of the day instead of gathering at their house after the parade. This is also a candy throwing parade.

Kenosha Parade: July 4th- Meet at Kim and Kraig’s house 1661 41st avenue between 12 and 12:30 Head over to line up at 12:30 - we need to be in line at 1:00 pm, parade starts at 2:00pm. We are in the 3rd division, unit number 12. If anyone is running late they can meet us on 25th Ave just south of 60th St.

No candy throwing allowed.
After the parade- party back at Kim and Kraig’s home. Bring a dish to pass and chairs. Club meeting will take place at this event.

The Parade begins at 2:00pm; we must be in the staging area no later than 1:00pm.
We are lining up on 26th Ave south of 60th Street.
We are in the 2nd division and Number 13 in that division.
There is a total of 6 divisions; the Lead and 5 others.
For those of you not familiar with that area; I would suggest taking 30th Ave(runs north and south) to 63rd st, turn east onto 63rd st and head east 4 blocks, turn north onto 26th ave.
This is NOT a candy parade.

The dates of October, 20 + 21, is the selected date for the Fall Galena Run. If you're interested please call the resort and reserve your room for Saturday evening-October 20th by October 3rd. (I had the date extended). Because some of us would rather not take a vacation day, we will be leaving on Saturday morning and taking windy roads to the hotel. Specific details will follow very shortly (probably stopping someplace for directions/lunch).

Chestnut Mountain is the selected hotel and the details for rooms are as follows:
SEWCC has 10 rooms held right now. When making your individual reservation, you have to mention "SEWCC" (1-800-397-1320 and talk to Joan Dillon). They quoted me $99.00 if we get 10 rooms booked, otherwise the rooms will be the regular rate (which I believe is $149). The rooms have 2 double beds and are located near the pool. We had 6-8 people interest back on July 4th when we first discussed the run. Please make your decision - soon. We are getting real close.

Chestnut Mountain has an Alpine Slide (fun, fun, fun-just ask Tom), Mini golf, Mississippi Explorer Cruises and a DJ in the lounge every Saturday evening.

We will meet at noon at "The Marina" in Silver Lake (formerly Crossroads) Location is on Hwy F just east of Hwy B in Silver Lake.

We have been asked to participate in this years parade. The normal $400 registration fee has been waived and are allowing cars newer than antiques. The route is 1.3 miles long.

Bloomington Gold will run through the 17th. On June 14th, we have two members that will be having their cars judged on that day for survivors status. Judging will be in the after noon if you wish to attend and lend support to our members.

Road America Run - Overnight stay optional

We will ride up to Road America, in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin (aprox. 2 hrs) spend the day at this legendary race track and park in the Corvette Corral. Admission $40 per person. www.roadamerica.com . For that evening we have a block of 10 rooms reserved on Lake Michigan at The Lighthouse Inn in Two Rivers Wisconsin (aprox 40 min. ride). The group will caravan over to the American Legion building (about 2 blocks away) to line for the parade. Afterward we all meet back at the Means for our July monthly meeting and Independance Day celebration.
Bring a dish to pass and chairs for yourself.

Tom Walther has arranged to meet at Ron's Place @ Noon. There will be 3-4 stops in and around Kenosha. One stop is a Big Surprise and another stop has an ice cream shoppe nearby. Dinner will be at "Little Europe" around 5:30-6:00PM, on the east frontage road of I-94 north of Woodmans and Gander Mt., Kenosha.

Ira Gabriel of Hot Rod Magazine will meet with the Southeastern Wisconsin Corvette Club for a presentation regarding the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour

The bowling outing will start at "Scores" Sports Bar and Grill, 6100 Washington Ave.,Racine. (Hwy 20&Emmertsen Rd.) After dinner we will go to Paradise West Lanes,6501 Washington Ave.,Racine,for bowling. Bowling will start no earlier than 9:00 due to lane availability. We do not need reservations for dinner, however, please R.S.V.P. Walt if you are coming so he can bring enough prizes. Look forward to a fun night.

David Penza was recently given a clean bill of health. His father called and invited the club to come to an open house to thank us for our support. We will leave Walt and Patti's house at 3:30 to drive to the Penza's together. It is going to be a big gathering, and a nice opportunity to drive your car!

The 2004 Black Hills Corvette Classic Run will take place from July 14-17 in Sioux Falls and Spearfish, SD.

The first 9 people with $100.00 cash or check deposit to Kim will have rooms. 03/13 update- 8 confirmed SEWCC reservations only one room open.

Preliminary Event Details
Depart July 13 from Kenosha drive to Sioux Falls.We have a block of 9 rooms at the Best Western Ramkota for the evening of the 13th. and 14th.

Depart Sioux falls in Corvette Caravan on the morning of the 15th to Spearfish SD.In Spearfish we have 9 rooms at Best Western Black Hills Lodge from July 15-17th.

The first few deposits will have their choice of Spearfish rooms (Outdoor pool) or Deadwood rooms (Indoor pool). All rooms are Non smoking and are in the $120-140 per night rate range. The Caravan price and registration will not get set until March but was $120 last year. Kim will hold the cash deposit until we reach the second stop.
